A Trip to Tam Coc, Vietnam (2022)
Tam Coc is a quaint village situated in the Ninh Binh province around 100km south-east of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. This picturesque tourist destination attracts tourists from all over the globe. My lucky turn for visiting this place happened on the 15 th of July 2022. Our stay at the Tam Coc Holiday Hotel and Villa was a stone’s throw off from the famous boat ride point. This boat ride on the Ngo Dong River is a unique one. The boat meanders through paddy fields gheraoed by loft mountains of unique look, moving through exquisite and mysterious limestone caves. These boat tours take place in broad day light and they close down by 5 pm and start as early as 7 am. Though we opted for this boat ride, there is another one at Trang a which offers a similar boat ride but for three hours as compared to this one which shuttle for an hour and a half.
